Things are going smooth, but last week's developments rocked my tranquility. I was out of job for day, and then just last Friday, I heard the law school I plan to enroll with had hiked its tuition fee for this school year. Then, it began again. This compulsive wanting, of getting some things done:
(1) I want to be the RP evangelist of globalization.
I wrote in Facebook account: " [I]will be writing a project proposal to George Soros' Open Society Foundation. Foci ng study eh partnership sa mga educational institutions sa RP. Para mag-create ng mas maigting na kamalayan about liberalism, at globalization sa Pinas. Gusto ko kasi talaga sa grass root level yung impact, hindi yung sa iilan lang."
"What I plan is: strengthened link and networking. Susulat ako sa lahat ng foundation na nag-pu-push ng globalization at economic liberalization... And network with at least 1, 000 educational institution sa Pilipinas. "
"I'm still looking for a program model. I'm throwing ideas around, I got to be honest. But this time I want to be more scientific, more fact-based, result-oriented. So I'm taking it slowly.
"Currently, studying what "belongs to the Open Society purview" and will try to beat the April 28, 2010 with a well-polished proposal."
"Sa tingin ko, dun sa Fellowship grant nila, they want a program that "equips" people, not just proposals that collects data."
(2) I want to write an article on "citizen-initiated feedback mechanism" to local government "facilitated by the internet." Somewhere among my drafts is an email I'll be sending my alumni group.
"I'm thinking of documenting the [group], as part of emerging civic activism facilitated by the Internet. It may involve profiling people spearheading the group, the issues it had advocated, interaction with the local government. It kinda lack focus right now, because, I don't have a model yet.
(3) I'm rethinking why I am in this job:
"Noong nasa college pa ako, may nag-advise sa akin na maging "idea entrepreneur" yung nag-lalako ng mga "ideas"... First time kong maka-encounter ng isang Foundation, na actually looking for 'idea entrepreneur'"
It's this purpose thing. What am I doing with my life? Basically ranting against Manny Villar:
"VILLAR DRAGGING NOY DOWN TO HIS OWN MESS. Here's the lastest challenge from Manny Villar: Let's take the psych test together. I don't get his point. Why would Noy have to? Is it because to save NP's grace from being caught in flagrante perpetuating black propaganda. The psych test was a hoax; Danny Villar's COD was the truth."
"BEAUTY SECRET ni CYNTHIA VILLAR. (Alam ko medyo bellow the belt, 'to. Pero sobrang nakakatawa,, iinterpolate eh) Reporter: What's your beauty secret? Cynthia: Wala. Me: Walang secret o walang beauty he he he"
and against Loren Legarda:
"ONE WORD FOR LOREN: "ULOL" I'm not being sexist here, even if she's a man, "he" is still "ulol" for me. That HISTORICAL political butterfly has no right to claim her campaign is "high level" I never liked Loren Legarda, she's effin phony. I mean, like all the ails of RP will be sold by her motherhood statements. She's a shame to the women movement."
